     This wiki was designed to display the work of Table 5.  The links on the sidebar will direct you straight to the documents of Unit 1. Unit 1 is about the Scientific Method, starting with a hyptothesis, and ending with calculating data and analyzing graphs.

8th Grade Science Standards Covered:

Scientific progress is made by asking meaningful questions and conducting careful investigations. As a basis for understanding this concept and    addressing the content in the other three strands, students should develop their own questions and perform investigations. Students will:

1. Plan and conduct a scientific investigation to test a hypothesis.
2. Evaluate the accuracy and reproducibility of data.
3. Distinguish between variable and controlled parameters in a test.
4. Construct appropriate graphs from data and develop quantitative statements about the relationships between variables.
